Privacy

What this site runs, what it records, and the choice you get to make about it — in plain sentences.

Always on: aggregate counts

Umamicounts pageviews and copy events — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no personal identifiers, no cross-site anything. It is how we know whether anyone uses this reference at all. It runs for every visitor.

Optional: product analytics and session replay

Mixpanel(event analytics) andMicrosoft Clarity(session replay) record how the site is used in enough detail to count as personal data, so they are optional:

  • In the EU/EEA, the UK, and Switzerland they load only after you allow them from the banner.
  • Everywhere else they load by default — you can turn them off below.
  • If your browser sendsGlobal Privacy Control, they stay off and we don't ask.

What we never collect

No accounts, no names, no ads, no selling or sharing of data. The waitlist stores exactly the email you type into it, for exactly one send. Our success metric is copy events — whether the markup was useful enough to take — not how long you stayed.

Change your mind

Both controls apply immediately and reload the page.

Reset clears your stored choice; in regions with the banner it will ask again, elsewhere the defaults return.
